I'm at the New Orleans Quarterback Club. Newman head coach Nelson Stewart just said he's been told that ODB is "expected to start on the outside" with Shepard out.

I think a lot of our WR's are going to get serious time right now. Other than RR none of them really have any experience.

Miles basically just confirmed that in his press conference.

He must be really blowing it up like reports said if they're comfortable with a freshman starting. Isn't like Wright sucks either.

A true freshman starting the first game at WR?

What about the guys from last year?

Either ODB is awesome or the other guys aren't panning out.

Hopefully, it is the former.

You take a blessing and try to make it a curse. Some people are just meant to be miserable I s'pose.

Wright isn't a scrub...and by all accounts, Landry looked good this summer too. I suspect they'll keep him on the bench until the bar fight case is finished though. No point wasting a possible RS on him if he gets arrested.

James Wright/Kadron Boone. If we open up in a 3WR set, we may give him the start in the slot with Boone in Shep's spot.

Wright & Boone have had very good fall camps, and Wright has seriously impressed with added size & rededication to blocking as a WR. No offense to ODBJr, he's not going to be able to get it done blocking right now.

Beckham HAS been awesome. Has impressed the coaches with his hands, his speed, his quickness, his route running, his athleticism, and has made some incredible catches in practice. He has been as impressive as any of the incoming freshmen. Miles had already indicated before the Jefferson fiasco that Beckham was going to see the field a lot this year.

Starting doesn't surprise me, starting on the outside does. Wow!

If Beckham is out, does that put Wright on inside?
