No matter what happens, no matter who you like better as a qb, no matter what he did, no matter how this winds up, can we all please agree that this situation SUCKS for him?

We've had threads on here saying he's a d-bag, unlikeable, a crappy qb, unapproachable, blah blah blah. Whatever.

The kid is going into his senior year at our school, and either a severe lapse of judgment, or being at the wrong place at the wrong time has cost him dearly, strictly becuase he IS the qb at our school.

Had he been Jordan Jefferson, the senior business administration major, and not Jordan Jefferson, the LSU starting qb, this shitstorm would not have been brought on him to bear.

It would have just been a barfight. Like him or not (as a qb), he's practiced, suited up, and taken hits for 3 years in exchange for an education. The byproduct of that is our collective enjoyment of his abilities roughly 12-14 times a year.

No matter what happens, I hate this for him. Times were, when you get your arse kicked, you kept a low profile until the marks disappeared. Now, I guess you get a lawyer. And ruin a kid's senior year. All because you probably smarted off to someone bigger, stronger, meaner, and tougher than you.

It sucks badly for him, and I wish none of this had happened.

But the bottom line is, no matter what the "tradition" is, no matter what that kid said to him, no matter what...he SHOULD NOT have put himself in that situation. It was terrible judgement and horrid decision making. End of story.

If this was the case he would have been arrested the next day.

Can we all agree he brought it all onto himself so he deserves no sympathy. If he would not have been there none of this would matter.

If he is innocent, then yea it really sucks for him. If he is guilty, it sucks for all his teammates, coaches and fans that he let down.

Hindsight is so 20/20 though, ya know?

I'm sure he realizes this now, and that's what makes it so tough to watch this trainwreck unfold. And make no mistake, it is a trainwreck. I feel horrible for that kid.

Does suck...to be honest I really dont think they started it. Just doesnt make sense for them to be the aggressors when they know they are out past curfew

If he was in this fight there is no defending it. He's been a good kid up to this point but there are frick ups and there are HUGE frick ups. It sucks and I feel bad for him. I've made my share of impulse moves and lived to regret them. If charged he will do the same.

Rather he did anything or not he was there, and he did make the choice to go out so yes he brought all this on himself.

Based on what? You must live a very sheltered life. I'm not saying he is innocent or not, but sometimes you are just in a bad position and it might not be your fault. Then again maybe not. As of right now, nobody knows.

Sure JJ isn't the first person in the world who wishes he had a do over

I feel bad for him. He made a poor/very stupid choice and it could cost him.

No doubt it sucks...and maybe they all will learn a lesson from this (but I have little hope of that after reading some of the posts on this board the last week).

Sympathy? I feel for their parents.

Until all facts are out, no I can not agree....

No reason to fight or kick someone while they are down despite who you are, or what someone did. If guy threw first punch, Jefferson had a right to defend himself but if only words were exchanged and he threw punches then why should people feel bad?

I feel bad for everyone involved, including the team, Les Miles and the university.

just throwing this out there.

You and your wife go to dinner. Some guy grabs on her, and you defend her and you get in a fight and a case comes from it.

Is it your fault for going to dinner, or your wife's fault? Just curious?

Guy has a right to go out, and it seems that it was not a big secret to the coaches the players went out.

I feel bad for him whether he is guilty or innocent. It's a shame how our fans have treated him w/o knowing ALL the FACTS.
