I <3 this game so much. Co-op is the shite with 4 people.

I may pick this one up Friday afternoon.

It's a little glitchy here and there but it's mindless fun. I love open world games though and the co-op makes it fun IMO. Me, Pevy, and Klark Kent were having a blast last night. I can't wait to build more weapons tonight and smash some zombies. Some of the stuff (like opening bags to find money) can be tedious but it's still fun overall.

Yeah I noticed that watching the video of the gameplay earlier in the thread I think. Seemed like a lot of time was spent in hallways opening/searching everything in there.
What sucks is that I'll prolly buy this one, play it for a few hours, and then never touch it again. I have a tendency to do that with games sometimes (like GTA4, Lost Planet, BioShock, etc.). I always assume I'll go back eventually and play them, and just never do (but I will ).

Well there are some release day bugs which are being fixed on a "release" day patch. Some glitches with certain missions. Other than those, I haven't notice anything terrible.

Its a lot like fallout. Spending time collecting things that may not benefit you. The intense action makes up for it IMO.

It is borderlands with zombies on and island. Basically, you are the errand boy for the island. Someone needs something and you have to go get it and bring it back to them, over an over. I got bored pretty quickly; but will be giving it a few more goes. I started having more fun around level 15.

I was like holy shite I can drive a truck. Running over zombies was awesome.

Driving up/down the mountain plowing over zombies was alot of fun. The scythe is my favorite weapon thus far. Deo-bomb was pretty cool too.

Any sharp weapon is awesome.
Just slicing their heads off in that one shot when they run at you feels SOOO good.

The graphics on this game are really good. I wish the weather would change and there was night time.

Besides a few things, like facial animations, I agree. Especially considering the no load times when fast travelling within the same zone.

What's teh rough average amount of time needed to "beat" this game? I know it's a sandbox-type of game, but assuming you don't do every little thing and just want to beat the game...

No idea but I played a few hours and beat 8% of the game. It shouldn't take too long to beat the game I suspect.

You can run through alot of the game, but on the quests you will eventually get jumped by a gang of zombies. Typically it occurs before/after you grab whatever item you are sent out to get. When ever I am attacked by a mob I find a corner and kick/attack like L4D. There are a couple classes that can knock you on your arse but they are genrally very slow moving. Obviously, playing with 4 people will make it go alot faster.

i jumped back on at about 1145 last night thinking i would only play an hour. then me, anti, and his brother played til 3.
i'm up to level 8 toting a couple of badass machetes, morning stars, and scithe.
we were starting to run into some more difficult zombies once we got to the lighthouse area missions.

Those big frickers are a pain in the arse. I keep a long weapon handy just for those frickers.

You definitely need to master the kick in this game. I love ground stopping zombies to save my weapon.

You guys are making me really want this game!

we kinda developed a system last night for taking out Thugs.
2 people hit him with blunt objects and keep him busy. whoever has the best sharp object (cleaver, machete, knife) hit him from the back specifically aiming for his arms.
take out his arms and it's a free for all on him.
