If it is found that he was indeed guilty of the crime that has been commonly described, how would you handle the situation with Jordan Jefferson if you were Les Miles?

Acceptable answers for this poll are:

Do nothing
Punishment w/no suspension
Temporary suspension
Dismissal from the program

I will do my best to tally it up so that everyone can see where the rant stands on the issue. If you could, please be concise in your responses, and try to keep commentary/chatter confined to the other threads on the topic.

Thanks,
WB

Mark 1 down for complete dismissal.

If he is charged with 2nd degree battery (felony) I say complete dismissal, if he is just charged with simple battery (misdemeanor) I'd say an indefinite suspension.

Dismissal from the program regardless of his involvement in the alleged crime.

If as you have stated JJ is guilty of what has been alleged then complete dismissal and i was one that half way supported Jefferson. Sorry that it is his first transgression , he is a senior and not a freshman and should have known better. Believe me , it will make him a better man in the long run and that is what really counts.

If he is guilty and what happened is anything like the rumors I have heard then he should be dismissed from the program. These offenses if true are worse than the Perriloux incidents.

For the time being as it stands I am in favor of indefinite suspension until the charges are cleared. No practice or association with the team until then. Lee should be leading this team for at least the next 10 days when more information is expected. This time is crucial for preparations for Dallas so he needs to play that game since he will be getting all the reps. Then if cleared JJ can take over once we hit a softer part of the schedule, assuming he is still considered the #1 QB at that time.

If he were to be convicted of felony second degree assault and battery, I'm sure he would be dismissed since one could get 5 years imprisonment and as much as a $2000 fine.I don't think Miles would have too much choice other than dismissal. However,I don't think that will be the charge.
