I just caught the tail end of her interview on the radio. She writes for Forbes and specializes in college sports. She does a good job offering a compelling argument that counters Perryman's bullshite report.

She also touched on our current TV contract with ESPN & CBS. She points out that the contract does call to air for a certain number of games. With an added team, it's in TV's best interest to increase the number of games it broadcasts. Also, the current contract has a "window" clause that goes into effect in two years which gives the conference the opportunity to rework the current contract or go to arbitration if the networks dont sweeten the pot. i.e the landscape of the conference changed, the clause requires both the ESPN and the SEC to accomodate the change and reflect that change in the contract. She also hinted that some sort of SEC network(s) are in the works, but didnt say much beyond that.
