Enough witnesses say it happened will pretty much seal the deal.
Enough witnesses have way too many conflicting stories...the prosecutin has problems.
It might play out like this.
Cops interview the "victims" claim they were beaten up just because, even have witnesses...they want to press charges.
Cops interview the players, claim they were struck first, they have witnesses...they claim they might want to press charges. (just because you win the fight doesn't mean you can't be a victim)
Cops interview other witnesses that have all kinds of different stories.
Cops explain to "victims" they have right to press charges.
Cops explain to players they have a right to press charges as well.
Odds are both parties decide not to press charges (especially if Marine doesn't want this hanging over his head...doesn't matter if he truly was victim this is real life not TV)
Or DA gets all the police reports and realizes holy shite..there are a ton of conflicting witnesses and reports...add on most witnesses were prolly drunk.
Just a theory on what could happen.

Several people who claim to have witnessed the incident tell 9NEWS that a young man driving a truck blew his horn to get a group of people blocking the driveway to move. That's when they say a group of people pulled the driver out of the truck and began beating him. When a friend of the driver, a Marine who had just returned from training, ran to assist the driver, he was also beaten and thrown to the ground. Five people who claim to have witnessed the incident say LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson then kicked the Marine in the head. Baton Rouge Police would not say if they have heard similar accounts. They say investigators are still interviewing witnesses and have not yet filed any written notes.
Don't you know FB players don't start or escalate fights? At least not LSU FB players.

How anyone other than Josh Johns' mother knows who he is, is beyond me.

Did these kids not fight back? Not even get one lick on a player? Sounds like the student body has gotten soft since my days.
If I would have been there I would have dropped atleast 6 or 7 of em until Brad Wing got involved.

JJ and JD are the two players listed in police report.
Fixed.
but the 2 roommates who repeatedly reported Josh Johns shouldn't be discounted per theShrub...

I still seriously doubt a bunch of football players would drag a guy from his truck simply because he honked at them.
Only takes one idiot.
WOuldnt have though Larry foster or Cecil collins would have done what they did either.

Two options:
1. Make all involved (players and non) perform community service together (after the season of course).
2. Blame JaMarcus Russell. He's back at school, huh?

By definition, certainly. 100% yes.
And they don't even believe anything close to it. Most were a close version to what I posted. And this is the most likely story. Not the kids yelling racist remarks or coming out swinging.

Normally Id agree, but 99.9% chance alcohol was involved
there were ftball players drinking at the bar; many of them. Not sure if it was the guys in the fight. I can't confirm that.

Just proves my theory on always driving with doors locked
Just have a hard time believing he was taken/grabbed out his truck

Something people are overlooking is the fact that this Marine might not want his part in this looked at too closely, for fear of discipline from his CO. As I stated before, the military takes a rather dim view of this sort of thing, especially when civilians are involved.
