The part about JJ kicking a dude in the face as he is getting beat up by a mob troubles me. If it is at all true that is. That picture right there would lead me to believe the consequences would not be good for him.

I am hoping it isn't true FWIW.

I'd bet anything that both sides own this. The bzoner bunch would be damned if they were going to be bossed around......expressed themselves, were then damned.

Ive been in too many situations where glory hounds started shite.....

Let me get this straight.

A couple guys got roughed up to a degree that they needed no medical help, and applied a few icepacks. Got their pride hurt.

We had a few football players out too late, taking advantage of an easy day.

A few words were exchanged and a few punches thrown.

Suspend a player or three for dumbass decisions, and move on.

All this hyperbole about a friend getting a few scrapes is just nuts.

It was a college bar fight, it happens, it should be celebrated....at least there is an ounce or two of testosterone left in the world!!! Yeahhh arse whippings, the world needs more of em.

I was born and raised 5 miles from campus, went to skip bertman baseball camps every summer growing up, my grandfather on my moms side was a history professor at LSU for 30 years, my grandfather on my dads side has been a TAF member and huge booster for 40 years and is good friends with Skip, my entire family on both sides either attended or graduated from LSU,i caught a brandon larson homerun ball over a large, diving black mans head when i was 11,during the auburn game in '88 my mom had me sitting up on the fence by the south endzone and accidentally dropped me when we scored causing me to have a badly sprained arm, I recieved my first blowie in the stanford beach parking lot, Ive missed one SEC home game since I was 14 bc I was in surgery, but Im not a "real" LSU fan bc im defending my friend who was jumped by a bunch of LSU football players. gotcha

I know for a fact that anyone in that situation had to be provoked enough to do something like that...

Well, if by provoked you mean anything that could be perceived to be a sign of disrespect or something that didn't meet their approval, sure.

But that's how virtually every barfight that has ever happened gets started.

Doesn't mean whatever failed to meet their approval rose to the level of deserving the response they dished out.

Four Oregon State players beat up a white guy whose provocation was bringing his wife, who happens to be black, to the bar with him. That was enough provocation for the players to beat the shite of him. The victim wasn't able to make it the hearing to see his accusers face justice because he was back in Iraq fighting for his country. Instead, 6 of his buddies from the National Guard went to court on his behalf.

So pardon me if I don't assume our players are innocent and must have been provoked.

I hope to hell our players are truly innocent of the things that bzoner's friend alleges happened. I'd like to think that. But I won't be the least bit surprised to find out otherwise.

If Les has an ounce of "integrity" in his body, JJ will at least not play against Oregon.

So JJ was definitely the instigator?

it was about 30 vs 4.. the truck guys would have had to have pulled out knives and guns to be innocent

Okay, so who's lying? According to the original story (I think boner's) all the players hopped into 2 cars and left. 30 players at 220# and 6'4" are not fitting into 2 cars.

why would you say this? I fricking hate people that jump to conclusions when there is no evidence to the contrary except for some a-holes who had friends at the bar who were most likely drunk off their asses and starting fights.

Yea, it's tough to jump to this conclusion since only the football players have been implicated since the beginning.

I was a lot like you during the Masoli incident when a couple of people came on our board claiming they were friends with the guy who had his stuff stolen basically saying what ended up in the police report and court documents. The police said the same thing about him not being a suspect for months. In the end the posters turned out to be correct.
It sucks (because I want both teams to be at full strength) but there is a reason there is a finger being pointed in him and other unnamed players direction and I doubt it's simply because he was at the bar that night.
