I've been wondering the same thing. Now that USC, OSU, UNC, and now the U are all in some deep crap, I hope LSU is taking care of their big boosters.

I am wondering if you are asking about LSU or LSU Athletics. Because Lod Cook's one of LSU's biggest donors as a University.

But, the Purple Jacket Mafia are the heavy hitters with LSU Athletics. Those all signify that you've donated North of $100,000.00 in your lifetime. Some passed that up a long, long, LONG time ago.

I would imagine J.M. Bernhard, the Manships, Lod Cook and others probably dwarf Shaq.

IMO the booster angle is exaggerated or often used too broadly. especially when talking of large money donors to a university.

of the schools you just mentioned, their problems werent large money donors but rather agents/individuals trying to weasel their way into the student athletes lives and indirectly into the program.

as to whom LSUs biggest boosters are, i have no clue.

LSU doesn't have big boosters like you think compared to other schools. Sure there are those who have donated money to the school but none have an overwhelming presence over the program like other schools. My Dad is in the jacket club and has been donating to LSU as long as I've been alive. But none of those people have control of the program like a Bear Bryant Jr at Bama has. TAF as a whole has much more influence than any single boosters have. Our huge contributors to the University actually don't meddle with athletics.

I'm 6'1", 185 lbs. I feel like I'm a good sized booster.
