I personally don't care either way. I would attend more if it was on Saturday actually. tough to travel the day after Thanksgiving.
However, I'll be visiting Tigerland this year for the game

Better exposure the day after, only game on that day on primetime
BTW, 13 games are scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving.
KEEP THE GAME ON A SATURDAY NIGHT

First SEC Conference Game.
Must be a night game in September.
the only problem with this is going to be CBS

It would probably be around the first weekend in October as the game would likely replace Florida IMO
As far as night games go, this is another good thing about TAMU +1 moving into the SEC. With a 14 team conference, I've heard CBS might be inclined to broadcast double headers each week, with one afternoon game and another evening game. This may give us our Saturday Night games back while making CBS and the SEC happy at the same time.

end of the year, replace our arkansas "rivalry" game that means nothing.

Third Saturday in October...that way, there is at least a good chance it is a night game as CBS loves to show Bama-Tenn.

Thanksgiving weekend and get rid of the fake rivalry with Arkansas.

Arkansas is our biggest rival, whether anybody realizes or not.

Look back at our past history with A&M. It was always the 1st game of the season. I'd like to start it back up that way. I HATE opening with cream puffs!

I say open with aTm and let aTm have the game with arkansas on Thanksgiving weekend.
Posted on 8/18/11 at 9:19 am to xiv
College Station, TX. Baton Rouge, LA. Let's take temperature into consideration please. I like to enjoy my conference games. I say screw Arky and have it after Thanksgiving (heh heh). All seriousness- NOT in September.
Posted on 8/18/11 at 9:33 am to JPLSU1981
If A&M joining makes us move all conference games to Fayetteville, I'm more inclined to support it.
Posted on 8/18/11 at 11:40 am to Houston Texas Tiger
There's no way the TX Legislature is going to allow A&M to play anyone but Bevo Thanksgiving weekend.
