I'd be okay with a Cotton Bowl again. But with as many players we're returning a BCS game has to be expected...I'm most worried about Arky and OU. Both might be without key players with Kniles Davis and Travis Lewis(could return by our game) injured. We should field our best squad since 98/99...so yeah big expectations

Just maybe this time A&M will play a team they can beat.

Notre Dame, perhaps?

I would laugh my arse off if A&M won the Big 12 this year then leave for the SEC in 2012. Talk about giving them the finger while you walk away.

The Egg, yes. A&M should expect 11-1 this year. 10-2 is ok. Anything less is unacceptable.

We beat 0U by 14 last year. But, that game at Norman is the most likely loss of the season.

Arkansas lost Kniles Davis. Big loss IMO. He was mid 1st round material. So Arkansas will have a new QB, new RB and 3 new OL starting.

Mizzou just lost their best OL for the year.

Ok St is overrated and the game is at Kyle.

My prediction is 11-1 with a loss to OU or Arkansas. If it's 10-2 I still think we split OU/Arkansas but would lose to K-St on the road.

Short answer, BCS for my Ags or I'm not happy

ETA: I hate to see kids go down to injury. Sucks

Yeah their QB is pretty damn good, an upgrade IMO. He doesn't bitch at the ref about something after every play. Their defense will be better too. Hopefully, playing them earlier in the season helps some(i.e. crap o-line play)

I would love to curb-stomp ND all day. But yeah there's not many teams out there that I'm scared of getting pounded by. Still don't know how we made jefferson look like peyton manning

Let's let him play more than 3 quarters to decide that. All signs point to him being good, but the same was said about Garrett Gilbert.

I'm never just going to expect a smooth QB transition. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen

Seriously? 9-3 and you're going to fire Sherman?

He said unacceptable, not fire.. didn't he?

I'm not calling for his head if we go 9-3. I'd expect us to do better, but you never know.

After living through the Fran years, I can live through anything.

Unacceptable implies severe action. Disappointed? Yes. Unacceptable? No.

No. I would not want Sherman fired if we went 9-3 but I would consider it a major setback

Decent number of land mines there...

While there are plenty of landmines I'd be very disappointed if Sherman can't get at least 10-2 out of this team.

OSU and Texas are at home. Arkansas is at a neutral field.

If he can't go 10-2 that means he lost to at least one team that doesn't have better talent than we do, or we just flat didn't show up (ala Mizzou last year.) 19 returning starters from last years team.

Von Miller will be a huge loss of course, but again, coaching should be able to overcome the loss of one player.

My worry in moving to the SEC is NEXT year's team. I wish we had pulled the trigger last year and been able to start in the SEC with this year's team.

Next year we lose our Tannehill, Gray, Fuller and a few key defensive players.

We don't have a clear cut backup QB right now, I'm hoping we have enough blow outs this year to at least get someone some PT in relatively hostile atmosphere.

I know
