The ACC is going to vanish/major downgrade with the loss of Miami. If FSU joins the SEC and A&M joins too.. I'm just not sure the ACC can stand without Miami and FSU..

frick Texas. Ou/Mizzou and A&M to the west. VT/Clemson and FSU to the east

I just found out that VT and A&M have something in common that would give them a common bond within the conference. They are the only two major universities that are also Senior Military Colleges in the US. I knew of A&M's Core tradition, but I didn't know about VT.

They also house each state's respective veterinary schools (VT's is actually a joint program with Maryland).

There are to many Tigers in this conference already so IMO, Mizzou and Clemson are O. U. T. OUT!

I'm all for aTm, one of the OK schools, VT, NCState and even FSU. It just seems to me that if you want more TV market UF already gives us Florida. We are not in NC, and its right on our doorstep, as is OK. VT is just a little farther away.

ETA: almost for got this

Without bending the rules, I see no way they can get the top athletes from south Florida to come to a small private expensive university that requires high scores to even be accepted.

Scholarships are for expensive, and as far as high test scores go, as long as they meet NCAA minimums it is up to the school whether they admit them or not. There may be other reasons not to go, but those aren't.

Kentucky also has one, its part of its Ag dept.

But A&M and VT (the two most discussed expansion candidates) are both land-grant schools, with vet schools, and senior military colleges.

Even if they came in separately they would be the perfect match for cross-division rivals.

Miami was dying before this story. This just may put the final bullet in them. I'm so very sad about that.

how is that different than Notre Dame, except switching South Beach vs. South Bend?

Oklahoma has a problem. They have a conjoined twin that the sec doesn't want.

I'd take Okie Lite too

It's looking more inevitable than it did last season tbh. All it takes is A&M making the jump.. and good night fricking CFB as we know it

People are going to hate us even more than they already do.

Okie Lite is worth it if Oklahoma comes as part of the package.

Not that I want to expand but if we do, that pair of schools is a good catch.

Kentucky doesn't have a vet school. UK vet students get in state tuition at auburn vet school. There is an equine science school though.
