Blu I would love that and include the "OMG did you hear what so and so said about the Saints".
I have a dream.

Lmao.
Matt Light being on any list of top OT's is hilarious. Same with Cunningham on sack artists, the guy recorded, what one sack last year? Not having Vollmer as a top 15 tackle is a mistake.

I like Matty Melt. It's just as accurate as Matty Ice.

know power rankings are pointless. But this solidifies Prisco's stupidity and ignorance when it comes to football
Well, then, let's kill him.

Someone who gets paid by a sports column puts out their preseason "power rankings".
If the saints are in the top 3, they're brilliant.
If the saints are outside the top 5, they're idiots who don't know anything about football and the falcons suck, blah blah.
I get that this is a Saints board, but how about a little objectivity (and not being 10 year olds)?
Either ways, start the hating on me but I just saved 100 posts basically stating the 2 things that would happen above.

Also, staying just within the AFC, does anyone else see the Jets being a team that could do something pretty big this year? Seems like a teams that's been on the verge of it all lately and Sanchez is getting more experience.
I just don't see Indy/Patriots being a dominate team anymore. The Steelers are old... maybe Baltimore?

Two things....the Falcons are not number 2 ranked team and the Saints are not the number 9 ranked team. I, honestly, don't think there are 7 spots between them. However, the teams ranked ahead of the Saints I have no problem with.
If you remember, Peter King had the Saints at 22 in 2009 and once the won the Super Bowl, Sean Payton told King "not bad for #22, huh?". So, they watch these things.

SaintEB,
I agree man. I don't buy in to these things too much. But it's all about getting name recognition and getting people hyped up so I understand their cause.
I see the Falcons and Saints as both being top 4 NFC Teams. Arguing who's ahead of who doesn't matter to me. Either could beat either on a random Sunday. The NFC South is pretty loaded...

I caught some replays of both the Atlanta game and Carolina game.
Atlanta...no surprise. The 1st team was sharp. Julio, if he can stay healthy, is gonna be a great player. The 1st team D is tough. If they lose anyone, they are in trouble. I think the lack of depth on D will hurt. Not as big a problem on O if Matt Ryan stays healthy.
Carolina...surprise. The looked decent. I doubt they only win 2-3 games. I wouldn't be shocked if they took 6-7. Cam Newton can play. He just needs to keep working hard and time will tell. The RBs are, as always, stacked. Williams and Stewart will be deadly, but Goodsen was running hard. Their D was playing well without the 2 best LBs on the field. They are thing in the secondary but their 1st team guys are decent.
The south will be a logjam.

+1
Do you post on a falcon site D.D.?
Posted on 8/17/11 at 8:40 am to goatmilker
I actually don't. All my posts are over here. I go read up over at falcons life but never find myself actually posting there.
There's a lot of D.A. falcons posters that I'd like to argue with but never find the energy!

I still say 3 teams from the South go to the playoffs this year. I think Us the Falcons and Bucs all go. Falcons Bucs both wild cards of course.
