Shreveport eats ...

I'm always there, but I don't venture out too much ... usually end up eating at River Rock Grill (Hilton).
Last time I ate at Rollin' in the Dough and the original Monjunis. I've also been to Ernest Orleans Restaurant - good, but severely overpriced - didn't see any value at that this place.
Looking for other suggestions ...
Will be staying at Horseshoe Casino on Tuesday ...

might as well eat at jack binions steakhouse in the horseshoe
also, if you want a good burger (better than rollin in the dough IMHO) try out "Papa and Company" on E. Washington (it is right off youree behind Max's Pawn Shop). LINK I suggest the burger, not the muffaletta. Burger is huge, so you better be hungry.

You might be looking for something pricier, but I was passing through Shreveport and had lunch at Yeero Yeero. It's a Greek restaurant with an 88% on Urbanspoon. It looks like a cheesy dump on the outside, but the inside is very nice and well-decorated for a place with entrees under $10. It was an interesting spot for a quick bite, and I liked the gyro.

I approve this restaurant... the gyro and the cabbage rolls are great
and the blind tiger is great as well... although I wouldnt recommend the philly cheesesteak

And a lot of people really like Strawn's, although I don't find them to be that special myself.
For breakfast, go to Country Kitchen on Airline at Industrial in Bossier for the best biscuits I've ever had.

newks is very good, especially their soup/sammich lunch combo.

Correct, Monjunis is good. Ernest is way over priced. That's why I don't eat there.

I like Silver Star BBQ off Hwy. 80 in Bossier, out by Louisiana Downs. Try the ribs.
Cotton Boll by Schumpert Hospital on Fairfield in S'Port has good plate lunches.
Binion's Steakhouse at your hotel is good too. Just expensive.

You're not my replacement, are you?
I'm all over - up to Texarkana, down to Corpus and everything and anything in between.

I was just in Shreveport. I had a Royale with Cheese at Robinson Theater. To cure my hangover, I ate a ham steak and eggs at Strawns Eat Shop. They have some delicious pie that was featured in Southern Living.
