There, I said it and I do feel better now. I keep coming to TD and reading how great it is, so I keep giving it chances. This was my fifth visit in 4 months. After waiting 45 minutes for a table (all the time seeing open tables that could have easily been pushed together) the order came. I went for the fried chicken club after being disappointed with the brunch fair last time. It siucked - the toast was burnt, not totally black, but no one at a good place would let that leave the kitchen. The whole sandwich was dry as crap and barely warm - Burger King chicken club beats the holy crap out of that chimes POS sandwich. Everyone at our table had a substandard food and dining experience. The fried shrimp were ok. I have been to Sammy's about 20 times in the past 4 months and have never had anything that was not delicious, hot, and above standard.

I love Sammy's and The Chimes, my car doesn't really know how to get to too many other places.

ETA: Chimes brunch is probably my favorite in BR.

Hah. I've been to chimes brunch 50 times and been disappoints maybe once. Sounds like you got your panties in a wad cause it took so long to get seated. Then u ordered a chicken club expecting culinary greatness.

the Chimes in Covington is horrible too.

HTF can you spend that much dough on a place and come out with such a shitty atmosphere? Way too bright, the TV's are way too high, and the atmosphere is more like a Chili's than anything else.

Did you know the reservation count and expected times? Did you know the list of people waiting and the head count given for each group? You went for brunch and ordered an off the wall item? WTF is up with that decision? You really do sound like a pissed off server at another place making less in tips than your roommate.

I've never eaten a brunch, due to the fact I cannot get past the idiotic concept of it. To me, a brunch is for people that either can't wake up early enough to eat a real breakfast, or can't make their minds up on what it is they want to eat.

its really nothing like that. Its just a good excuse to put crawfish and crab meat in an omelet and shrimp in grits.
