I know there are already a million questions about it on here, but when you are an offensive coordinator do you only recruit offensive players or not recruit at all. And has recruiting changed much at all? sorry if germans, I'm buying it today and want to know about it before I get it.

the recruiting is the same as last year, but the computer AI has been improved greatly. As far as who you recruit you can handle it anyway you want. Put on recruit assist and only recruit 5-6 offensive skill positions (that's what I do). Or you can controll both sides, or let the computer handle it all.

Pretty much this. The AI is much better. Every team doesn't just go for the best players that are interested in them anymore. They go for prospects that they have a realistic chance of getting. It makes starting out with a 3 or 4 star school much harder. I set up my recruiting board expecting none of the CPU teams to go after the same players, and I was shocked at how many had offers after week 1.

The main difference I see is that there aren't nearly as many Juco players, and I haven't seen any monster Juco players.

Does anyone know how to get a "set" list of recruits? I swear it's a different order of the same recruits every week. I even tried to go through and change the order of the recruits but it was back to random the next week.

in ncaa 11, there was a recruiting board assist option that had to be turned off or the AI would auto-reorder your board every week...

That must be it. So frustrating trying to have a set group when the AI is constantly reordering the list!!!!!!!!!!

This is still case in '12. The first thing I do in every dynasty is turn all 3 recruiting assistance options off.

so when you are an offensive coordinator, you cant just recruit offensive kids. I want to be able to take an offense and not have to worry about all the defensive crap. Don't get me wrong, I can recruit defense just as good as anyone, but I want to only control one side of the ball and not have to worry about which defensive end, whom I'm never gonna is.

I just let the computer recruit for me when I started out as OC at UAB. I took a new job every year anyway. After 3 or maybe 4 years, I became head coach at USCe and started doing my own recruiting.

Does anyone know why the computer doesn't fill up the whole recruiting board for you every week like it did in 11? I would find that it only filled it up to like 19 or 20 out of 35. I hate that bc I have manually look up players like every week and never had to do that in 11.

Check your recruiting options. Recruiting board assistance off or on.
