I didn't realize it was also in 3D. I'll say this film grosses $1.3 billion (worldwide) at least.
Let's have it...

It's getting a lot of good reviews, I'm going later tonight.
Sadly, I didn't start reading the books, or watching the movies until I was 30. (A gf was a huge fan,so I started reading them to see what the fuss was about)

What do you predict for opening weekend numbers?
Posted on 7/15/11 at 11:10 am to John Merlyn
Opening weekend domestically...170 Million
3D and sold out everywhere.

Seeing that most weekend shows are already sold out.
I see it getting close to Dark Knight numbers. More than 200M..
Total world-wide 1B easy..

I would be shocked if it didn't reach $1B. I'm gonna go with $1.5B which would put it solidly at 3rd all time.

That would be crazy for the eight film in a franchise.

You ain't just whistling Dixie. I can see a lot of repeat viewings of this one (since it is the last). I think worldwide you could be looking at the first $2 billion movie.
Oh, and whoever said it was/is correct, those kids are soooooooooooooooo fricking rich.
