This is a very important recruiting class. Perhaps they are just trying to let the recruits know that the administration is behind him. More of a PR move.

I have never understood why fans get so uptight over coaches' salaries and contracts. It's not your money.

Then it was a bad one.

The administration sends it on for approval, but the board kicks it back...

Fans and Alumni don't want a contract extension for a coach that could very well end up being shite canned at the end of the season. TJ is very close to being labeled with the "Incompetent/Bad Hire/Not the right fit" label and Alleva wants a contract extension. thinking there.
