What about getting married at halftime of an LSU game at an LSU party?

Were there some serious playoff implications or something? That's pretty hardcore right there.

Had a friend get married during last year's Bama game. Needless to say the ceremony started late so us groomsmen could watch it... Bride's mother = not happy. It was well worth her anger.

I purposely distanced myself from two friends I was starting to get closer too because their wedding was during an Auburn game. No way I ever miss a game for a wedding.

Stupid idiots who plan a wedding during an LSU football game should have ZERO people attend...how inconsiderate and moronic could somebody possibly be? I have skipped a wedding that was scheduled when the Tigers were playing...

Since 50% of all 1st marriages end in divorce.... the rational person would skip all weddings -- seems to me.....

Just sayin?

If they aren't lsu fans I could see it, but don't expect a big turn out if you're from Louisiana.

If you can't negotiate a date on a bye week or out of season how are you going to negotiate a 3 some down the road? If she has you by the balls that much turn your man card in to your buddies and start going to get your nails done with her, you pussy!

Got married on December 12th in 1998. I made sure that the date was the week AFTER the SEC Championship game. Keep in mind that we had never made it to Atlanta at that time. Weddings during football season are BS.

This is an easy one -- see if you can find a cheap pair of tickets for that day's game. Give them that as a gift to bring home the point.

never heard of anyone schedualing a weding during football season.

Closest I came was a LSU super regional baseball game which I can forgive the bride/groom not being prepared. I brought headphones to the church.

I got married on the day our tigers played Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2005. My best man was in the army and was leaving for Afghanistan so the wedding had to be during football season. I had one request that the game be on a tv at the reception which lasted 7 hours. It was one of the greatest games I have watched with my friends and family. For those that don't remember this is how it ended. LINK

My cousin has a stupid Engagement party during this year's Alabama game...This guy is a life-long LSU fan, and we sat together in the student section for EVERY game when we were in college.

I asked him, "you do know that your stupid party is during the Alabama game, right?"

His response: "Yeah, but we'll have the game on at the party."

My response: "That is NOT good enough...How am I supposed to drink beer and hollar at the TV without looking stupid in front of all the party guests?"

His response: "you'll just have to tone it down a notch."

My response: "HELL NO! It's Alabama!...by the way since you're having this dumb party, can I have your tickets in the north end zone?"

My wife and I purposely scheduled ours on Oct. 30th last year on a bye week. I fricking hate it when I have to go to one during an LSU game and I was not going to put my friends through that.

I actually drove down to Louisiana for our best friend growing up...turns out it was scheduled during the Auburn game.

Watched it as much as we could in the hotel prior to the ceremony, but had to leave before halftime.

I was pretty miffed, then it turns out we lost. I bet if I watched it that fricker Cam wouldn't have beat us...

People in south LA that have weddings during a football game are ridiculous. Inconsiderate IMO.

My girlfriend's cousin is getting married in Michigan the day of the Auburn game this year. To make it worse it is going to be a dry wedding. I had to explain to her whole family why I was not going to attend the wedding. Those northerners just don't get it.
