So he's confident he'll be the starter, and people are saying he's looking good at the Manning camp. I think this is great and wish him the best senior year of any LSU Qb.

You know what the rant needs?

Another 20 threads asking hypotheticals about JJ.

And more cowbell.

They're not saying it's a bad thing, they're saying it's a fictitious thing.

Who knows. All this is fine, if it translates, but just blood in the water if it doesn't. Guy needs to find better leadership skills IMO.

Good news from unbiased third parties at the Manning camp irritates some of our fans. Don't ask me why.

I trust JJ because I trust Coach Miles. As long as he is our starting quarterback i will support him to the grave and be super excited when i hear good things about him.

So why does the JJ fan club get so upset when others choose to say they will wait and see if it shows up on the field? Seems reasonable based on his play last year to want to see him perform consistently at a competent level before all have to jump on board and drink the Koolaid or do all Tiger fans have to worship at the altar of JJ anytime we hear he has improved?

Nobody gets upset over you being skeptical, well at least I'm not, but when this insult shite starts flowing in

JJ will NEVER be good
I'll be glad when he graduates(not in the good way)
He fricking SUCKS!!
Arrogant, cocky, obnoxious, a-hole (when he's confident that he will be the starter against Oregon)

You know stupid shite like that from your own fans just because you played bad in the past and now trying to show leadership, maturity, and improving dour game which has been documented heavily this year unlike the "praise fest" of the 2010 offseason.

Point taken but in my opinion and feel free to flame statements like I have been here 3 years and that gives me the edge and my overall play has been fine. (When it obviously has not) and I am the starter hands down and so forth makes a good portion of the fanbase believe that he feels entitled to start and does not have to earn it. Maybe it is not true but I bet a large portion get that impression.

I am not saying you but I think if you will review statements of the pro JJ crowd many have attacked those who express the desire to wait and see it on the field. Not to mention it is every fans right to believe what they want and if a good portion believe that a different starter than JJ be it Mett, Lee or Randle or Rivers is needed I dont believe JJ has performed anywhere close to well enough on the field to make that a ridiculous argument.

then why even have spring and summer camps? Just base all starting positions on what they did the year before because apparently its impossible for a player to improve between seasons.

IMO 11-2, 9-4, etc. I dont worhsip, just support a guy who gives his best and helps us win a lot. AND something I think gets overlooked A LOT- he has done nothing off field to embarass LSU and has stayed eligible, seems many assume this is a given, but every year 10-15 players dont do what they are supposed to off the field and thus do LSU NO good on it

Like Jordan improved the last few seasons huh? So you are arguing that an LSU fan cant root for Mett, Lee, Randle or Rivers to be the starting qb ahead of JJ? Does that include their families as well? Do we all have to sign a "I want JJ to start" petition to be true Tiger fans? If Lee, Mett, Randle or Rivers dont sign it do they get kicked off the team?

i pull for all LSU players. If either one of those guys was named the starter tomorrow i'd be pulling for them....hell, i pull for them anyways. Some of you can't stomach rooting for JJ for some reason. He's the starter...there's nothing you can do about. Pull for him or write a tear stained letter to Miles. I don't give a shite. But you're making youself look stupid on a daily basis.

So you don't support JJ right? He has said, as well as his teammates, and EVEN Miles, that he didn't give his best last year. That he just went through the motions because he knew no matter what that he was going to be the starter. When this was released is when he lost a lot from many on here.

I think he's turned the corner and is really trying to improve. Whether or not he has, we will see in 7 weeks or so.

You know I have noticed a few things....
1. Some people believe Jefferson can improve
2. Some people have no faith in Jefferson
3. Some people believe that Lee can improve
4. Some people have no faith in Lee
5. Some people want Mett
6. Some people don't want Mett because he isn't Lee or Jefferson

If I am in the camp, that I would like Jefferson/Lee/Mett to imrpove and play well but until we see improvement out of them do I have 0 confidence does that make me a hater?

'cuz if he improves, we'll be stuck with a mediocre QB.
