Does not hold up. The acting in the first ten minutes is absolutely horrible. Ed Harris seems to be briefly in it. The General he's talking to is way way too young to be that decorated. I couldn't make it through 20 minutes.

I generally like King's 90s TV adaptions but this is the absolute worse. Waste your time fapping.

Three things:

1. - I agree
2. - read the book, it's possibly his best
3. - fapping is NEVER a waste of time

I never liked the adaptation.

The acting was over the top cheesy which is sad given the decent cast.

Most of the TV adaptations aren't very good.

The worst being The Langoliers.

I did like Rose Red although most on here hated it. I tend to like Haunted House movies although I hated the remake of The Shining.

Storm of The Century started out good and then fell apart.

Oh, I did love the 70s Salem's Lot but not the remake.

I liked IT although I am not sure how well it holds up. Well, Pennywise holds up even if the rest of the show doesn't. That is a given.

Hated the Tommy Knockers although I wasn't keen on the book either.

I haven't seen Desperation.

It appears they may be developing Under The Dome for TV. Wasn't a fan of the book.

End ramble.

One day in college I all my friends were busy doing stuff on a Saturday so I was really bored. I got some beer, plopped down on the couch, and watched the whole entire 8 hours. Damn that was long.

It's by far the best book I've read of his so far and I've read close to 15 of his books. This could have been so much better with the right cast. I was actually thinking today that The Stand and It should be remade as an HBO mini series instead of Network television similar to Game of Thrones.
