Yes. I don't think they ever get to a $45 million hard cap, it has to be done with more revenue sharing.

So far he's shown that he understands fit and that he won't overpay, but you're right he doesn't have much of a track record yet.
It could have just been a random number he threw out, or it could have been a freudian slip, but in an interview he was asked who he had been looking at and what position they got drafted and he said he couldn't answer that and then jokingly replied he got taken 5th. To me that says Jonas Valanciunas is who he liked most in the draft. Not important really but potentially more insight into how Demps thinks.

this just means the few teams who are annually profitable won't be profitable, and nobody makes money

i'll give him this based on the DWest extension. 3 years is more important than $26M, but it was a solid starting offer. 3/$33M is probably as high as he should go. he cannot go further, imho, or we are dead
