I'm so tired of hearing this bullshite line of non-thought that doesn't take the big picture into consideration. Peja was supposedly traded to avoid bankruptcy. The precarious financial situation of this team and the need to sell tickets was/is very real.

Without using DC to turn Posey into Ariza this team doesn't make the playoffs. Without trading that 1st for Jack this team doesn't make the playoffs. For those of you that think one and done is pointless, the team sold 1000 - 2000 season tickets during the season when it looked like they were a playoff team again. They sold 1000 more season tickets during the playoff excitement. If you like the Hornets in New Orleans there's your fricking value.

As for Thornton, most of us here loved watching him play and wish he was still on the team, but if West leaves and we keep Landry which is looking likely, how can you say there was no value to that trade?

I understand your frustration with some of the comments, but honestly if the Hornets can't sign West, which I don't think they will b/c West will go for the biggest contract, I can see this really blowing up and the Hornets will become this past year's Cleavland damn near over night. I'm saying that b/c I really do believe CP3 will leave if DWest is gone, and with ownership up in the air they will not be able to attract any FA to make up for the loss of both DWest and CP3. This entire situation looks messy and I believe the dominoes will start falling if the Hornets aren't able to retain West.

at this point, is that a positive?

if we had DC now, we MAY (key word) have a legit chip to trade for a guy like milsap

what did making the playoffs do for the team? nothing

the league wasn't moving the team once shinn shite the bed. we'll get 1 more owner to show our market can support an NBA team

there is no way stern would have allowed that big of a public embarrassment. that's why the NBA bought the team to avoid the embarrassment of bankruptcy in the first place

i always pegged landry as west's replacement

but we better get some other guys, b/c landry at the 4 with our current 2,3,5 = no chance for this team
