because they perceive themselves as being harder to target that way?

false assumption on their part IMO, but that's why...

also, jumping around like a jackass might be entertaining for some of the intellectual heavyweights that play CoD.

wouldn't it be hard for them to target people as well?

Why do people drop shot, camp in corners, use dual 1887s (before the patch), OMA tube, care package glitch (before the patch), marathon/lightweight/commando and other gimmick stuff?

Because it pisses the rest of us off.

If you use a shotgun or rapid fire smg, its an easy way to get headshots

so you're supposed to skip merrily about with a shotgun in tow?

learn something new every day.

this whole time I thought I was playing hyper active 8 year olds with motor tourettes, not that it was a tactical advantage.

The whole idea of realism kind of gets knocked out by the fact you keep re spawning when you die, you randomly respond with the identical gun that you just had, and you are in an arena going against an equal amount of other people with no way out.

I thought it was a war documentary filmed in real time.

don't shatter my illusion.

Meh, I'll admit, I've complained about shite that goes on in the Halo series. Then I'll think about it later, and complaining about a gun in a game thats about space marines and aliens doesn't make as much sense.

Simple answer? They see guys on youtube do it. Sandy Ravage is pretty lethal with it.

I'm only jump around corners when i think someone is camping there, or when i concussion a room for the ADS campers, it's pretty effective. But in a face to face encounter i don't do it, don't think about it. I take great pleasure in killing the ones that do though.

I do drop shot, it is highly effective and has saved my arse many a time, of course in order to do so i have to give up the panic knife.

I just started noticing this recently and it does nothing but piss me off. Granted you know precisely where they are going to land so it's pretty easy to get a head shot but it's annoying as frick.

Someone goes into prone after you enter the engagement with them. Makes them a smaller target and because often you are not expecting it, it gives people a few tiny moments to land some shots and turn the tables in that engagement.
