Why the hell would you essentially want our QB to go on national TV and appoligize for the past? I undstand what you're doing about this past quotes, but think about what you're saying. What is accomplished by going on TV and looking like a pussy? That's what you want?

Since when is taking responsibility a pussy thing to do? That's what QBs (and leaders) do. They take the heat off their team mates shoulders. You must be unaware of how Jefferson has spoken in previous interviews.. he has laid the blame at the feet of his team mates and coaches and not on himself. When a pass is dropped, JJ should think it was his fault for not throwing it perfectly.. not the WRs for dropping it. That's how you become a good QB and a good team mate. Blaming others is how you divide a team.

You don't tell your team and fans that you weren't put into good situations last year.. you tell them that you've been working damn hard on every facet of your game.. especially leadership.. because you hate letting your team down.

I agree leadership is taking responsibility, but it would be beyond ridiculous for him to go on some apology tour now and in this situation, which is apparently what you want to see. My question is what would that accomplish?

I know exactly what he said last year, I didn't like it then, but it's over and that was last year. It's June 2011, not October 2010 in a post game interview. I don't want to see a damn Obama-like fricking apology tour--there is no good that would come from that. Leadership is also about timing and about moving on, leading, as in going forward. If any feathers were ruffled last year, I'm sure that has been addressed in private over the last 8 months.

His role on this day is to promote the program and the team in 2011, not dwell on the mistakes of 2010.
