What are some of your favorite family restaurants from back in the day? Mine has to be Raif's Poboy's in Baker. Yeah I know Baker isn't known for much, but me and my parent's loved that hole in the wall! Go easy on me I'm a long time lurker but just started to post.

When I was a kid, I remember eating frequently at Hymel's, Piccadilly and Don's.

Does anyone remember Duff's? If I remember correctly it was kinda like a Piccadilly.

I can't say it was my favorite, but I remember going to Shoney's when I was a kid. Anyone else fond of this creation when they were little?

We also used to go to the old Don's Seafood and the Ralph & Kacoo's way up Airline Hwy (in BR) for special occasions.

Are the chicken tenders and fried cheese better at Antoine's or Galatoire's?

"JR here, for Swab's Family Restaurant."

Never went, just remember the commercials. Is that place still around?

My grandparents loved Duff's. I think it was at Corporate Mall (now Esplanade). As I recall, the food went around on a big turntable. Not so great. Piccadilly was better. Emphasis on the WAS.
