Reminds me alot of TM at LSU. Small, good coverage skills, and likes to hit.

I'm gonna trust Cooper and his secondary recruiting, but Batiste is on the list of a number of guys I would have targeted before Sandolph

Nah, it wasn't a flame attempt or a "we stole this kid" thread. I was just wondering if any local guys had seen him in action. He wasnt ever getting an LSU offer.

I know you weren't flaming, I just meant I trust Cooper on taking Sandolph so early. I thought Batiste would get an offer at one of our camps, but doesn't look the case now

Geaux, I don't know how old you are but any chance you were at A&M when this kids dad was playing? His dad was a stud at LB for A&M in the prime of the Wrecking Crew days

Great kid from a great family. He played baseball in the rec league I was part of for many years. (Dang, I know I'm getting old when these kids are looking towards college now).

Can't say that I've zeroed in on him watching the Lutcher games so I can't really offer anything on that other than what people can see for themselves in whatever highlights are out there.

I can say that he's a high character kid.

I understand the thinking that of all the people that say "I trust Cooper and his evaluations, and I'm okay with whoever he offers." However, he did get in hot water at one of his previous stops for offering guys without HC approval. I doubt that's happening here, but I don't think it would be a bad thing to have a little lag time and a second eval between a Cooper visit and a subsequent offer.
