Also, where's the best place for a wedding reception in BR

I liked The Edible Event's selection but I have no experience with them or have even eaten their food so I don't necessarily recommend it.. just look into it. I fricking hate all these catering places that do the same shite: pasta, jambalaya, sausages, etc.
They seemed to have more original items.
As far as where to have a wedding reception, there are a million things that go into that advice. And assuming you're a dude, you won't be able to answer that
Weddings of today range from earthy, outdoor barn weddings to upscale modern weddings.
The Shaw Center is really nice if price doesn't matter
Most "reception" places (plantation homes, etc.) have all inclusive packages which work if you're looking to get everything without hassle, but I find them too cookie-cutter and overdone. You're not even allowed to move any furniture or hang any decor in plantation homes. Been to one, been to them all IMO

Why have I never heard of this? Writing this down in my wedding binder
Only $35/per person for the "Metropolitan Affair" menu?! You, my friend, are awesome.

She's got a hell of a lot more than that menu online...you name it or give her a theme and she can do it.

Very awesome. I love finding new things I didn't even know existed in BR.
I just pulled out my wedding binder (don't judge me.. I found a $60 wedding planner at Border's for $4.95 and decided I'll need it someday

Margo Bouanchaud. Best in town by miles. Her husband is Lance Hayes probably the best florist in town as well.
If you are looking for typical South La fare than All Star is a good choice. Margo is black tie. Opie is blue jeans. And that's respectively.

Always pull that out on a first date, guys love knowing the amount of crazy they are dealing with right up front.
seriously, we had tons of people saying "oh yeah I can do that" but never had and samples and weren't doing weddings so we couldn't really judge. I would at least ask for pictures or try to get some references because around these parts people seem to judge the wedding on the food.

I would recommend Best catered events, Mrs. Dianne Evans did my wedding and it was fabulous. I have been to 2 weddings at the Louisiana state museum, nice wedding venue.

SHUT UP FIN!
I love weddings, get off me :) I'd plan them for a living if there was a demand.
Hey, you better give me lots of reviews when you get back from Vegas. I want restaurant reviews, bar reviews, attraction reviews, ..the works.
