It is tough to compare 2003 to this year until this season plays out. So many of the guys on the 03 defense came out of nowhere.

In terms of depth, this year holds it's own IMO. 2003 was obviously one of the best defenses in Lsu history but Chavis defenses have been better each of his first 2 years. I expect his defense in year 3 to improve as well and could be special.
