Theyre trying to say that Frank Wilson or whoever offered Borque the scholarship as a RB recently lied to him just to get him to sign.. which I find ridiculous. Maybe the coaches just decided that he was the top RB they have a good shot at? I'll go with that answer.

BTW, Louis is a LBer all the way

i'm speaking of coaches in general. i mean everyday you hear of a coach promising a kid the world only for them to sign and get there realizing it's not gonna be the way it was promised to them. no one at LSU lied it's just something i'm trying to say is a reason parents go through this process with their kids at schools. we don't know where this young man will end up comes signing day,

That's interesting. How do they know A&M didn't do the same thing?

well i don't see anywhere where texas a&m offered as WR then came back and said well you can play RB and you're our number 1 guy at the spot.

So it is entirely possible that they lied to him from the beginning as opposed to trying to be honest with him up front?

listen let's wait until signing day.. because it's not going to be known until then and then we can all complain about something new, like why did they take this guy or that guy. we will never be satisfied none of us....

We offered him at RB.

Interview with his Dad shows that they are questioning why LSU is just now offering at RB.

There is nothing that says that LSU has done this either, outside of the A&M douche who wrote that 'article'.

There is more than just the 24/7 article. However, it comes from another recruiting website.

We didn't. The staff has made it clear we will not take a back because of the chance of Hill still making it to campus.

The Lamar louis stuff sounds like A&M negative recruiting by passing false info to his father.

I'm not even gonna touch the rest of that.

I know nothing about Lamar Louis. I am just paraphrasing what I read in the recent interview with Bourque and his father.

I have no idea of the information coming from the other side. Just providing information from mine.

If Louis is a back it would be fullback. There is just so much false info in that post it's funny. To call that journalism is like calling the Rant a coach.

Lamar Louis is a guy we have committed as a linebacker. He also happens to be a really talented running back and is showing out at camps right now because of it. But he is first and foremost a linebacker commit.

I'm not sure that LSU has extended any running back offers at all yet this year. If they did, it was to a pipe dream out of state guy to gauge for legitimate interest.

One other thing I found funny from that 'article' and the comments was that some intimated that it was shady for Travin Dural to talk to him because LSU is trying to exploit the fact they grew up playing AAU basketball together. Those guys a effing delusional.

I just thought of something. How come he has a problem with a false offer of RB to Louis yet has no problem with A&M having 2 other RB's committed? Could it be that Louis won the Houston camp MVP as a RB? Where he happened to out play Trey williams.

"He wants me as a wide receiver, which is fine by me."
"I can tell they really want me at LSU, so I definitely like that," he said. "I’ve gotten to know coach Brick (Haley), coach Frank (Wilson) and coach Miles, so it’s starting to feel a lot more comfortable for me. LSU is sitting in a good spot, no doubt. They are still my top team."
Davante Bourque January 15, 2011

"Everything went good," Bourque said. "I'd been thinking about LSU. I really don't want to be too far from home. My mom lives in Church Point with my sister so if I ever get free time, and she needs help, I can take a trip back home which isn't too far from Baton Rouge"
Davante Bourque January 22, 2011

"I went to the first Texas A&M Junior Day a few weeks back, and then I am going over there again at the end of the month," he said. "I like them, but LSU is still the offer I really want. I’d like to stay home to play and I know that it would be a good fit."
Davante Bourque February 5, 2011

It doesn't seem like he had an issue being recruited as a WR. In fact, Mr. Landry was the first one to bring it up in any sort of interview with Mike Coppage of Scout.
