Should the faithful be more pissed at him or the guy who put him there?
He has no business coaching in D1, nonetheless one of its biggest powers. This isn't a sandbox, it's LSU.

Sending Rhymes around w/ 2 outs and a blistering hot Mahtook due up was bad enough...but how in the frick do you attempt to send Watkins from 1st to 3rd on an infield hit w/ 2 outs and both Katz AND Mahtook due up?

I concur, that was fricking ridiculous, don't send those two guys and this is a different game, may still lose, but Javy should be hanging his head low right now

PM should've taken back over after he got two runners thrown out at home IN THE SAME INNING...kinda funny that we didnt have any or barely any base running errors while javy was away recruiting, he comes back and the 2nd game he is effing shite up

Why wasn't Mainieri coaching third tonight? I know he has been doing on and off recently? If Sanchez isn't sent packing and we don't make a dramatic change next year, then I'm all for Mainieri getting his walking papers. This is an absolute f'ing joke.

I'm not even so pissed off about Jones (the first runner) being thrown out, because it was a contact play (Jones was running on contact) and State just made the play they were supposed to.
The other two, however...just utterly fricking ridiculous.

Not sure I've ever seen a guy go from first to third on an infield hit. Maybe javy forget we were playing Mississippi St and not Tennessee.
