Dirk has incredible stats, but the Mavs' shortcomings in the playoffs will continue to weigh on his legacy until he wins a title. Like it or not, he is the leader and that is how it goes.

What do you know?

Which is BS. Dirk hasn't played next to a star since Nash left.

To lead the team to what shouldve been a title in 2006 and what will be a title in 2011 is incredible.

He averaged 22pts and 11boards in the HEat series...not exactly what I call chocking.

Not to mention his clutch shot over Shaq in Game 5 that should've given the Mavs a 3-2 lead if not for Salvatore bailing out D-Whistle.

It doesn't matter what the Mavs do from here on out.

You thought they were losing in the 2nd round

You were wrong about the MavericksPERIOD

LeBron James
Dwyane Wade
Dwight Howard
Dirk Nowitzki
Kobe Bryant
Derrick Rose
Kevin Durant
Amar'e Stoudemire
Zach Randolph
Russell Westbrook

If Dirk can continue to play at this level all the way through the Finals, I think I can justify bumping him over Dwight Howard to the 3 spot after 20+ games in the playoffs against great competition in the clutchest moments.

Stop trying to validate his "greatness". This talk about Dirk is just a knee-jerk reaction because of what the refs gave him last night.

Really it's just because there's no one else who is dominating the way he has in this year's playoffs.

Your last statement is total bullshite because he isn't doing more than what he has done for quite a few years.

Neither Dirk or Zach Randolph are doing anything more than what they have been doing for their teams since they became starters.

They both have played great for most of their careers.

There are normally just other guys that are more athletic that make plays that make everyone go, "Wow".

I'll post an article about this below here.
