this one is of the mississippi river side near ORCS, i've never seen water like this, its unfathomable
you can see the tree tops and how they've been engulfed
this one is from the atchafalaya side in the same area, its lower, but its still incredible
forebay at morganza:
photo passing over morganza (only 4 bays open at this time)
photo of ORCS at the low sill structure, the wall of water cannot even be remotely understood by seeing the photos
granted, there is always water and current passing through this structure, but i've been many times and never in my life seen anything like this
iphone video of the current, still doesnt do it justice (hope the link works)
LINK
this is incredible to witness first hand
trust me, if you have any chance to go and see this, do it, you will not be dissappointed
also, if you're going from baton rouge, also take the opportunity to pass over the new bridge in st. francisville, its a site to see

I wanted to go this weekend and check it out. I have a camp about 2 minutes from the ORCS and pass over it every weekend in the summer.
It's amazing seeing it opened.
