The truth is John would've dumped that nutty broad decades ago if he was alive, but in a way his death was the best thing that happened to Yoko Ono.

on a side note, I saw that Jim Croce's widow (now remarried) published a cookbook called....

Amen. Every song Lennon wrote about or did with Yoko Ono was awful.

Woman was awful? You are dumb and probably weren't even alive when JL got murdered

You were 5 or 6 so this makes you an expert?

What are you even talking about? "was awful" modifies "song" not "Yoko Ono." And I'm simply saying I feel she impacted his work negatively... not that the extreme drug use wasn't doing so already... no need to get all defensive.

not at all but you stated that JL's songs about Yoko were awful. I pointed out ONE song that was about Yoko that was far from awful.

If you think she impacted his music in a negative way (which I would agree) that say that instead of lumping all of it together. Lennon had some very significant songs (that he wrote) while he was with Yoko so I just disagree with your original statement that she was awful for him

The Ballad of John and Yoko is a decent song.

She was just down right fricking ugly. You'd think that guy could have done better.

Cynthia Lennon, his first wife, was fairly attractive.

Plus, I'm pretty sure he slept with a lot of other women on the side during both marriages.

His first wife wasn't bad especially for a British woman.

Hell, John Lennon was a pretty decent looking bloke himself before he got with Yoko. Than his looks went to shite.

Not true. There are lots of good ones. And the Ballad of John and Yoko is great.

Lennon really declined as a vocalist though once he hooked up with her, especially in his post-Beatles days. I guess you could argue that age/drugs played a role too but I'll blame it on Yoko

Double Fantasy is Lennon's adult contemporary album. It really is not very good. But Plastic Ono Band is friggin great.
