What are some of your favorite combinations?
Give me your saltwater and freshwater preferences and feel free to be species specific , as well.
I tend to have multiple rod and reel combos for different species and different conditions.
Thinking of maybe getting some new gear and wanted some opinions based on experiences.

The higher end (forgot the name) -paging BP for the name Bass Pro Series are pretty decent for freshwater.

My favorite bass combo is my Abu Garcia Revo SX on a 7' MH Dobyns Savvy. Followed closely by my Revo S on a 6'7" MH Falcon Lowrider.
For bream and sac au lait I have a 5' falcon HD ultralight with an Abu cardinal 300ui.
And I'm looking to get a saltwater combo when I start working this summer, but sure what yet

Hard to beat a Shimano Curado with an All-Star Rod.

What's the word on the Abu BlackMax? Thinking about picking one up.

The smoothest and lightest combo I have is a Quantum code on a St.Croix legend.

my current saltwater set up is a Shimano Calcutta 200 or 250 (can't remember) on a castaway rod Perfect setup for red/speck fishing. Don't fish fresh water enough to have a separate rig.

I had a Curado on a 7' Falcon MH rod, but the bastard broke. It was great for spinnerbaits.
I also have a Johnny Morris Signature reel on a 7' H Castaway. Great worm set up.

My two favorites are:
Shimano Crucial (7' HM) w/ Shimano Curado 200E7
G-Loomis CBR 845 w/ Shimano Curado 200E5
Both are used for bass fishing. The Crucial allows me to use almost any technique at any time. The Loomis will handle up to mid-depth crankbaits. I can fish how I want when I want where I want without wondering if my gear can handle it.
