Is he still with the Texans? I don't remember seeing him really at all last year.

Still on the roster.

He got hurt last year and was out the entire year.

Tore a ligament in his left thumb and had surgery in August. Missed the whole season.

You think he's going to make it for an extended period of time?
I remember when the Saints came to the dome for a preseason game and he was returning kickoffs. It was awesome to see him in the pros but I remember he miffed one.

He was trying to play with a splint on his hand because of the torn ligament. I think he mishandled a punt and a kickoff in the game. That's when the team decided to send him for surgery.

FWIW, he averaged about 30 yards on kickoff returns for the ones he was able to bring in.

I think he'll wind up being cut, when it's all said and done

Rick Smith, asked if there’s a priority to find a KR: “We’ve got a pretty good kick returner on the team right now in Trindon (Holliday).”

Some people here thought one of the DB's drafted would have returning capability (making TH expendable), but only the safety taken in the 5th did, and he's not better than Trindon.

He will have every opportunity to be the full time returner according to the GM.

The Texans really liked him. He has a very good chance at a roster spot if he heals up and can hang on to punts/kickoffs.

I was so hopeful he would have a great run with the Texans since they are my adopted hometown's team. In light of what the GM said, I will remain hopeful and do everything I can to support Trindon!

Everything, that is, except singing Madonna's "Holiday" since I was subjected to listening that from a few fellow tone-deaf Tiger fans when he was playing in Death valley.

I love Trindon but he used to scare the hell out of me when he returned punts. Too many muffs and unsure hands for a "return specialist". I hope he can fix it and have a successful NFL career.

So if you go on IR, do you get paid? If so, what? League minimum?

He ran on a 4x100 and in the 100m dash at the LSU Alumni Gold track meet on April 23. He was there in jeans and a t shirt when Coach Shaver told him they had an empty lane if he wanted to run. He borrowed running clothes and spikes from some people and ran. It was pretty cool to see.

Trindon's biggest problem right now is the change in the kickoff rule.
