Stats of note for the program that sets the bar for SEC excellence...

1-19 in our last 20 SEC road games.
We have lost 9 of our last 11 SEC series, overall.
Since the middle of last year? We're 7-26.
I wonder where the "we are just suffering from bad baseball fortune" crowd is this afternoon?
This is beyond annoying. It hurts to watch LSU boot balls, make errors, & play bad fundamentally. We aren't this bad.
We just aren't.
This is just poor coaching.
EDIT: Swept 6 times since last year. Five times on the road, and even once at home.
Sigh...

So better coaching would've won this weekend?

Yes, better coaching in practice would make a big difference.

Better coaching would develop our pitchers. It would make us better hitters. It would keep us from getting run out of innings with foolhardy base-running.
But, most importantly, it would not only develop pitchers, and make us better hitters. It would have given us some backup and/or contingency plans for recruiting swings and misses.
Yes, I think better coaching would've helped us this past weekend. Sure do.

I dont think his post is about just this weekend jackass. This team is fricking terrible. It's time for some changes.

We are a very young team. We have 2 seniors on this team, and those seniors aren't even great.
I will give you our fielding issues. They have been horrific, and yes I'm talking in particular about Nola. He has done a complete 180 since his freshman season. He has forgotten what put him on the field in the first place, and that was his outstanding defense in his freshman year.

Hurry, kick out the guy who won a National Championship a couple of years ago. That's bound to cause a top tier coach to come here.

Post a link where I-or any other poster in this thread-have advocated Maineri's firing and/or dismissal for cause?
It hasn't happened. But, don't let that get in the way of you putting words into other people's mouths that go further than what they're discussing in order to flail at a windmill, Don Quixeaute!

Unless I completely whiffed on something, you guys are completely bitching about the coaching. So whats the logical solution to that? Give the coaches performing enhancing drugs or something? No, firing them.

Asst coaches, please keep up.

YEP. DO it because you give Vandy's coach that salary and facilities, he will win you 3 or 4.

Crowton got us the Crystal in 07 now nearly everybody wanted him out of town.
The issue is with assistants. There may be more going on than just shitty coaching by the assistants and lacking team unity. This is a pretty dramatic fall for LSU baseball considering it can recruit with anybody in the country.

There is no sugar coating those numbers. That is flat out awful for LSU baseball. It will cost somebody their job (not the head coach).

I assumed he was mostly talking about this weekends games because they were the most recent ones, and he is bitching about coaching......which obviously wasn't the problem this weekend. Some people just like to bitch and evaluate the problems without offering solutions.....I'm one of the few thats actually offered up solution.

I quoted several statistics that reach back all the way to a year and a half ago. Stats that stretched back 11 SEC series, 20 games, & 33 games.
But you
I think you need to learn to read more goodly. Either that, or admit your assumptive powers are for shite.

No we're offering the solution, you just don't want to hear it. I guess you have some personal ties to Grewe and Sanchez, I don't know. But don't sit there and say nobody is offering a solution. It's not your solution, but it's the solution imo.

Your solution is firing grewe/sanchez, you offer no alternatives......I have
