Is the hotel viridian that place right on the eastern side of seaside that they've been working on? The V menu looks very interesting.

I was really hoping for my first sticky. Nonetheless, I left a v-mail at Cafe Tango for either Fri or Sat.

shades on the east side of 30-a and 98 has really good seafood. it's more of a sports bar atmosphere but it's money.

most of the restaurants closer to seaside/grayton are overpriced and mediocre at best. it's like dressing up for dinner on a cruise ship just to discover it's a step up from a tv dinner.

don't take this the wrong way, but I have trouble taking this statement seriously after you just recommended Elmo's and Shades.

I understand, It's just very difficult to find a decent seafood restaurant around here. No need to waste your money on a "nice" restaurant when the food isn't any better than bar food/applebee's.

Perhaps it's because I'm from Louisiana and expect better.

I don't even know where to begin with this statement - go check out cafe tango for fine dining or George's for casual fare and get back with us on that. Maybe you've been hitting the wrong spots.

Hey man, I've been to all of them. If we're talking atmosphere, I totally agree with you. If we're talking food, there's not much of a difference imo.

sorry

I thought this was funny.

"I would never quit. I was fired with no option," he said. "Why would you renovate to serve meatloaf?"

Hmm.... I'll have to talk to my FIL about all of that. He's one of the founders of the Club. I wonder if the food is still worth a damn.

Stinky's Fish camp is pretty solid as many posters have shared in the past. Owner is originally from Thib,La.

Yeah. We go there often when we're in town. It's very close to the house.

They also sell damn good homemade pecan pies during the holidays. Go figure a BBQ joint with best homemade pecan pies around.

as is the case at almost every place down there, it's fairly casual. I wouldn't show up in shorts and a t-shirt, but you don't have to wear a jacket or anything like that. Enjoy - that place is awesome. While you're down there, go get a grouper sandwich for lunch at George's -
