This. If Ott had given up the lead then people would bitch at Mainieri for not leaving Alsup in. If Mainieri had left Alsup in and we had lost people would be bitching at Mainieri for not putting Ott or Berry in.
Hindsight is always 20/20 and if something goes wrong the fans will blame the coach. We pull Alsup and put in Ott and it worked. Against Florida it didn't. I like that Mainieri is showing faith in Ott.

Looked like Katz misplay of the ball sucked the air right out of Ben. I thought it was a good move to take him out at that point.
I don't know at what point Katz lost sight of the ball, but if he'd had time to let Mikie know that he'd lost it, maybe Mikie had a better angle to see it. Mikie was right there with him when the ball hit the ground. Then again maybe Katz didn't realize Mikie was right there.

I didn't say he didn't deserve questioning, but decisions like these that are questioned aren't clear cut calls, and sometimes they'll work, and sometimes they wont
