Of course I drilled a hole in my pot and put a ball valve on it but that was still easier than getting all the right washers and stuff and hacksawing a ss tube. (of course Im putting a false bottom in next week)


Making and ice chest mash tun is very easy. I have an old ghetto setup I've been using for a long time.

Are you making the false bottom too?

Nah ordered the false bottom.. Had a gift card to spend. I have a 10 gallon converted Igloo Cooler currently with a ss braid that filters.

My kettle is a 40qt ss pot with a weldless ball valve kit. I plan on getting a second kettle setup soon and put it on a double burner setup with the mash tun underneath gravity fed from the hot liquor tank and a wort pump running from cooler to kettle.
