90% of them would get off if they just didn't confess without invoking first. Just fricking ask for a lawyer.

Fortunatly most criminals are dumb enough to think they're smarter than the cops and can talk their way out of it.

I know bro. I was watching today and for two of the cases the dicks had no evidence what-so-ever against anyone. It was all hearsay... FROM THE IDIOTS INVOLVED!

It's easier to think this because we all know that the cops often have, at best, a flimsy case that usually relies on the word of some really shady characters. That being said, not asking for a lawyer is just stupid. You can still plead guilty and cut a deal. I think some of those guys actually believe the cops when they say they will help them out if they confess.

I think they all believe them. It's unreal.
Just like this everytime:
"The only way I can help you out is if you tell me exactly what happened."

I cringe every time I hear a cop say that. Or "the best thing for you to do is turn yourself in". The frick it is! You just don't want to have to do some detective work and find me.
But yeah, every time they start with the, "you'll feel better after you tell me exactly what happened" you know the guy's gonna fall for it.

I find the ones from Miami are usually the smartest. Dallas and Memphis and Louisville have some morons, but the Miami thugs seem to know the code, for the most part. One of them had Detective Ricardo John so upset that he was blwoing a gasket.

I was wondering the same thing. So many people on the show just talk to the police without a lawyer, I had to ask one of my law buddies if there was a reason to this because I was always told that you don't say shite to cops except "i want my lawyer".
He replied that people are just fawking idiots

You have to take into consideration the sort of person who would get involved in those sorts of crimes in the first place. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer, on average...
I mean, we the viewers and particularly the posters on this board tend to be a bit more educated than these people. Their lack of education contributes to their decision making.

best fricking crime reality show on TV
On topic:
If they are dumb enough to be doing the things they do, then they are dumb enough to not ask for a lawyer and actually believe what the cops are telling them.

On a local level, EBRSO arrested the guy in the Carquest double homicide, brought him in for an interview, told them they searched his house and he spilled EVERYTHING. No Attorney.

Thats true, but more lawyers would be getting jobs and less people would be put in overcrowded prisons.
Of course murderers would be all over the street, but don't sweat the details.
