Just adding a larger black border is easy. I don't have to time cut Venom out to stretch the gradient in the background. Also, it would involve finishing drawing the back of his hands; not impossible but not easy.

I do some artwork from scratch. I just finished a piece for a local gym in the style of comic book characters. It took me quite a while but I was very pleased with the results. Then I saw some work of a friend who is a professional graphic artist. The stuff he finished in 2 hours absolutely blew me away and left me feeling completely inadequate! What I'm trying to say is good luck with the internship and keep your eyes open for some really cool stuff.
