Very impressed by tonight's TV crew

I must say these guys are very gracious towards LSU. John Smoltz is the man! Great color man!
Even though it's a "home team" broadcast, they've been about as unbiased as I've seen recently....Very nice.

Agreed, I only have one complaint... Could they at least get the names right? Missed Raph and Mahtook so far

I was listening to Hawthorne for the first three innings. these guys are a breath of fresh air compared to him.

I dont agree...they arent even commentating on the game going on most of the time. I wish Smoltz would shut the hell up.

It's been all about Georgia. But that doesn't bother me like it does to some here.

I am a huge Braves homer but I believe Smoltz is one of the best on TV.

I came to start a topic on Smoltz' commentary, but apparently I'm too late!
It's great having someone with his personal experience being able to comment on just about everything that has been happening, I especially like his breakdown of the pitchers.
LSU needs to reach out to their past MLB alumni and get someone!
ETA: Not sure of Theriot's on-camera skills, but he'd seem like the obvious choice when he retires.

That's not what a color guy is for. Smoltz has been amazing compared to what we get at home.
