I love my sit in. I can fill that bitch up with fish if my basket gets full. I have absolutely no problem fishing out of it.
Mr. CT and I use a large folding fish basket for our fish as we catch them (Academy has them). Your fish can stay in the water and stay alive for quite a while. When you're ready to go, pull the basket out of the water and throw in/on your yak.

I have the yak fever. thanks bama. I would like to find a size good for some inshore stuff as well as a few freshwater spots.

Let us know what you get. Catching a fish out of a kayak is so much different than from the bank or from a boat.

I'm no expert on kayak fishing but I've been a few times and thinking about getting one of my own. My girlfriend has 3 hobie mirage drive kayaks behind her house that we use on her lake. At first I thought they were just something for kids and they were just some cheap toy, but man those things will roll if you work it hard enough. They are very maneuverable and stable. If anybody had one in mind I would definitely recommend. I caught several fish out of it and had no problems. The only complaint was not a lot of room for storage but you'll probably run into that with most of them

My friend has one it may be the peddleboat that was mentioned but it has two little fins and the underside that act as flippers and you paddle with peddles and it can go in very shallow water...looks just like a kayak though and has a lot of accessories for duck hunting and fishing like a camo cover and rod holders

Yeah the mirage is awesome. They also have a mast and sail package for it. You could take one of those things a VERY long ways.

I demo'd a Boat yesterday and fell in love. As stable as a hobie pro angler or kc but way more maneuravable.

I know a guy that has one of those. He loves it, but he says you have to be very careful because it will get tangled up in grass, and hitting bottom and oyster shells is not too good for it.

very good kayak
i went on a trip to a badass lake recently and hammered some bass including a few that were in the 5-7 lb range.. video'ed it with my gopro... i'll post it for yall when it's finished
mainly bought the gopro for shark fishing out of the yak and trolling for kings but didn't have much chance last summer for that so i'll make some highlight reels and post em this summer

They also have the 120. It is 12' and the 140 is 14'. I am looking to fish bayous and inshore. What would be the better length?
