Not sure what the "cons" are, other than not being able to enjoy the moment with your whole family.

The Players Trade Association has issued an edict.

PP is playing the part of the good soldier.

Its a tough position to be in, because you want to be unified with your co-workers, but you deserve to have your name called and walk up on the stage. Some of the players are worried that they will be looked at differently if they attend it. It is a tough position for these guys going into the draft to deal with befoe even knowing which team they will be playing with.

It's messed up that the PA is making these kids skip out on the draft. If it was me I'd tell them to kiss my arse, I'm walking across that stage and shaking Goodell's hand!

Just don't get it. You've waited your entire life for this moment, why let anyone keep you from it. The players who are asking you to boycott sure as hell didn't miss their draft days (if they had one).

not to mention the NFLPA is all on board with the rookie slot cap thing... like most unions, tenure rules I guess.

If I were the NFL owners, I could almost guarantee that I would have someone show up. I would simply let it leak that a few of the top teams refuse to draft those who refuse to show up. When a player thinks that he may slip a few slots and cost himself millions of dollars, I bet he and his family will be at the draft.

Not sure I get why he is doing this. Once in a lifetime chance, screw the union.

I agree 110%. The union is a joke, they're nothing now. I'd tell them to kiss my arse.

It really is the best course of action for him.

Well, that remains to be seen and only can be determined by him.

My guess is if he doesn't show, he gains nothing. He shows, pisses off a few union folk, They will be pissed at him for a few months. But will have memories to last a lifetime.

The PA is acting like all these top picks will b HOF players, like this is jus a small event in there career. But for all the busts and players with careers hampered by injury this is there career pinnacle. I bet Akili Smith is glad he walked across that stage. Lol

I can tell you this. They better get there shite together with all this crap. The fans need to strike back at the NFL for the first game of the year, make a stand of our own.
