Who's into it?

If so, what's your division of choice, class and where do you shoot?

USPSA - LINK

IDPA - LINK

A few videos

Unfortunately there is only one "IDPA" club within about an hour of Baton Rouge and it is not sanctioned. However, there are several USPSA clubs within an hour or so.

A few videos of me from some recent major (not local) matches;

She wouldn't be the first.

Petey, where are you? I can help you track down some local clubs if you're interested.

It's way more impressive in person.

A dude I train with in martial arts invited me to the one in Amite. I may try to go April 2, if my pistol is out of the shop by then.

I have no clue as to division or class or anything like that. I'm going to show up with my stock 1911 and say "I wanna try this out".

Walt?

Apr 2nd is the IDPA match. If you're shooting your 1911 it will probably be ESP. 3 mags will be enough. Just bring a holster and a couple mag pouches.

Sorry, his name isn't Walt.

What does ESP mean? I know that some competitions have a single stack category (I imagine that a 1911 falls under this), but that's all I know.
