I've given it a glance and see a handful of Tigers. Note 8th team, Matt Derenbecker and his dad, John, 20th team.

Having played against both Carlos Zuniga and Sean Tuohy, I would place both of those players higher in the ranks.

I kinda figured Avery Johnson and Kerry Kittles would have been higher

I was thinking the same thing, esp, Carlos Z.
Also, Jordy should have been higher !

Jordy Hultberg is the #35 scorer all time in LSU basketball and yet he can only barely make the top 35 players in New Orleans. The only significant LSU players are Randy Livingston, Duane Spencer and Hultberg. This shows how much LSU has been shut out in the Crescent City whether the coach is Maravich, Brown, or Brady. When Livingston blew out his knee that was truly the day the music died for LSU basketball. A program with 15 straight post season appearances ha had only 5 NCAA tourney showings in the 18 years since then.

Dale couldn't and wouldn't recruit NOLA. We went from Hultberg in '76 to Livingston in the early 90's without signing any player from the city.We gave the town to John Thompson. That did Dale in IMO

I would've thought St. Aug would have had more than 12 guys.

Not a real impressive list if you ask me. By no means is South Florida a hotbed for basketball talent but we have produced 2 point guards in the past 2 years alone - Kenny Boynton/Florida (2009) and Brandon Knight/Kentucky (2010) that were ranked higher nationally than 1st teamer DJ Augustin coming out of HS. Just sayin'....maybe there's a reason Dale Brown didn't recruit New Orleans.

I forgot Rick Robey was from New Orleans. Man there are a lot of good players we missed.

Would have expected Kerry Kittles and Rayshard Allen to be higher

Dale recruited in New Orleans, but there was a mindset that New Orleans players wanted to leave the state, preferably to a Big East school.
