My first game and all I could get was standing room which is fine with me. Just curious what to expect.

to stand.
Depending on the game, you may be able to find seats in some of the middle innings.

If you get there early, you can stand under the grandstand against a railing which isn't bad at all

Expect to have a great time. But do get there early so you can be close to rail, it can get 4to5 deep up at those rails. Hopefully you have someone with you to save your place if you leave to get something, if you move you lose.

Go up on the concourse behind home plate. Great view, and you can move to a vacant seat after 5 innings or so.

Is it ok for a SRO ticket holder to sit in any empty seat?

Damn, which game?

People are going to show up for this game. You probably will have to stand. I had a SRO ticket for the Fri night Holy Cross game and moved into a seat after the 3rd inning, but I question whether you will be so lucky.

SROs are not allowed in the purple seats above the dugouts and right behind homeplate (Champions Club). Other than that you are free to sit anywhere after so many innings.

you'll be able to get a seat by the third inning after the 3,500 "i just go to the friday night big games to be seen" crowd files out ... hell, check the marketplace listings on friday morning and get seat locations .. then go sit in those seats since they aren't likely to be taken if they are empty and were for sale that morning ..

not correct .. people walk down to the champions club seats with no problem in the fifth inning or so .. the marshalls don't do anything about it .. they just don't have wrist bands and can't get into the club room ... but you can watch the last four innings depending on the game from there ..

you can immediately sit where you want, but you just have to get up when the ticket holder shows up .. in 2009 and last season, the gold seats were guarded until the end of the top of the 6th inning .. but this season i haven't seen this either ..

After the 5th. the LSU Marshals leave.

I like the SRO seats for lesser games because I can move around the concourse area and watch the game from different vantage points. The actual attendance for Friday's game will be huge though. You'll want to stake out a spot early to get a good view before you try to move to a seat in the later innings.

False. I watched them kick people out in the top of the 9th against Southeastern. They have no problem kicking you out if you don't have a ticket at any time in the game.

i have tickets in the champions club and have watched people come down there all season so far ... three guys sat in front of me in the bottom of the fifth of the saturday night princeton game and stayed there .. the marshalls haven't done anything about it at all .. personally, it doesn't bother me .. i could care less .. but no, it is far from false .. i watch it every game ..

I can understand not worrying too much about it for that game when there were maybe 2000 fans.
As for the marshalls, I was standing under the grandstand when it was raining and still in rain delay, and one of the marshalls told another marshall to make the person using an umbrella sitting at the bottom of the grandstand pick it up. This just seemed absurd to me considering no one was affected by the umbrella and the game wasn't anywhere near starting

Are the Sunday games less well attended?
We have standing room for Sunday against Cal State Fullerton. My dad has bad knees and we're hoping at least he can find a seat eventually.
I don't imagine they let you bring in a fold-up golf tourney-type stool to sit on?

The marshalls do seem to have loosened up on this a bit since the first season. I really don't care either.
