Kragthorpe's salary....

May be Germans, but is anyone else surprised by the LSU board giving Kragthorpe a $700,000 salary and also increasing some of the others as well with the economy the way it is? Moffitt is now an assistant AD and his pay is going up to $300,000!

If TAF can pay for it, they can do whatever they want. I'm sure people would ride horseback to LSU Football games. I know I would if it were the case.

The state of Louisiana isn't paying for this(it's coming from TAF). Hell, UF's assistants are earning over 3 million dollars. You want to stay on top, you better be willing to pay the price.

SELF-FUNDED athletic dept means NO money from the state given to the athletic dept. Unfortunetly, the LSU athletic dept may be the ONLY "buisness" in the state making money to afford these raises. THe athletic dept puts money back into the "educational" dept at LSU.

he's a former head coach at a BCS school who is now a coordinator at a top football school. that salary sounds like the right amount.

Whats up with the economy? They can put up over 9K paid for last nights game. Money is no problem when it comes to LSU sports.
