I do plan to play multi player on both and have bought addtional xbox live cards but I am more worried about getting all my weapons and upgrades for (COD AND BFBC2) to the newer xbox.

Then what i said applies. You keep everything when you recover it each time.

Everything transfers and you shouldn't lose any data when you recover, but it just takes a while.

Or as long as you have the map packs (if you bought any) on both consoles, then instead of recovering it every time, you can get a memory card and keep your profile info and that game info on it and just move it to both boxes. When I go to friend's houses and play, I just take a game and my memory card and jump right on and play

I am in north La and have had no luck finding a wireless adaptor. Not in Wal Mart and not in Gamestop. Guess only option is to order one

Got a Best Buy near you? They almost always have those things on stock.

Does any wireless adaptor work or does it have to be specifically for xbox, or the Datel one?

I did a quick google search and it looks like you cannot use just any wireless adapter since you would have to install the drivers for it to work.

Check Best Buy for the Xbox adapter. That's where I got mine from.

I'd play it safe and order from Amazon and get the Microsoft one. It sucks to have to wait, but at least you'll get the right thing.
