what is the best place in the quarter for oysters?

I'll have to go with Acme's only because it's the only one I've been to and I liked them.

Remoulade. It is the casual restaurant owned by Arnaud's. By far the best. Acme and Felix's are tourist traps.

drago's is right outside the quarter. pretty good

and yes acme is a tourist trap, but they do good oysters

Casamento's, but wait until Mardi Gras is over. They close from the end of April until about September 15th. Magazine at the corner of Napoleon Avenue. Raw and fried oysters are great. Fried crab claws and soft shell crabs are the absolute best I have ever had.

Cash only and it isn't cheap. But I have never had better raw or fried seafood anywhere. I would say at a minimum 25.00 per head.
